Message The "cylinders" are wedged together and one of the biggest problems was the seal between the water jackets, which caused failure of the apex seals, and sometimes the side seals. There are some aftermarket fixes for this now.

The turbos also tend to get too hot on both stock and modified engines. In general, the rotaries run much hotter than piston engines.
